Wild Mountain Farms

WILD MOUNTAIN FARMS

From downtown Chicago to an off-grid horse ranch in Montana - Wild Mountain Farms is an adventure in the making.

For more than a decade, we at Wild Mountain Farms, have raised some of the finest Rocky Mountain Horses in the country. We've cut back on our business to give us some room for other things, but we still have an exceptional stallion at stud and will be raising the occasional baby for sale.

Goings on at the ranch...

Sept. 26, 2019 - Ella and I are riding together regularly. Sugar has been a blessing for Ella - such a great match and such a great horse.

June 7, 2019 - We wish the best to Copper and Fabienne who are just setting out on their new life together! Fabienne is the person Copper has been looking for all her life and Copper is the horse Fabienne has wanted since she was a child. They left for Canada and their new life together June 7th and we are very pleased for both of them.

Sept 22, 2019 - Chance has found his forever home! This boy was with us longer than any other horse and it was hard to say goodbye, but made easier because 1) he is close by and 2) we could not have designed a more perfect home for him. He and Cindy are going to be life-long partners.

Aug. 3, 2019 - What a summer!! For the first time, we hosted Josh and Jessica, my St. Louis niece and nephew here at the ranch for 6 weeks. What amazing kids these are. Lucy and Ella joined us for much of that time. Its been one of our best summers ever!

June 16, 2019 - Belle is teaching Ella to jump! An old hat at everything having to do with riding, Belle has been ridden over jumps in shows and on the trial more times than you could count. Ella decided she wants to learn to jump on a horse and Belle stepped right in to teach her.
