DESCRIPTION:
This kind of buttercup grows close to the ground and is one of the first flowers to show up in mid-spring. It has multiple (often 6 or more) bright shiny yellow petals and a green center with jutting brighter yellow parts which sometimes cover the green center, making a yellow center.

WHOLE PLANT: Stem The flower grows from a very short stem, roughly an inch tall. The stems do not root from the nodes, they grow up from the leaves. |
