Flowers are borne on numerous small heads with overlapping clusters of yellow petals. The center is a dark orange with 6-7 lance shaped petals jutting away from it in a daisy shape. Each flower grows to be about one inch across.

Plant grows from a single, strong stem with many leaves and flowers at the top. Typically 6-16 flowers per stem. The stem is hairless and can range from 6 inches to 2 feet tall.

WHERE TO FIND IT:
In our area I find golden Ragwort in sunny spots within a wet forest. You can also find it in lush meadows and swampy areas.

The flower blooms for 3 weeks in early spring, March and April.
