The bloom of a blanket flower is bright and striking, making it easy to spot with the maroon ring around the head of the flower. The bright yellow petals grow in groups of three around the center of the flower. They are lance shaped and hairy, resembling the build of a sunflower. The center has the maroon ring on the outer edge, with a yellow or green middle.
